Best locations for Party hot tub breaks

Suffolk

Best for: Natural beauty

Suffolk sits on the east coast and is bordered by over 50 miles of coastline. Not to mention the fact that it also borders Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Here, you’ll find beach houses, period homes, and historic properties with a tale or two. And, when you’re not enjoying the peace and quiet from your hot tub, there are lots of family-friendly places to visit like Sutton Hoo, Pleasurewood Theme Park and you could even go off in search of archaeological finds that make this area so famous.

Norfolk

Best for: Being at one with nature

Think about your dream holiday accommodation: perhaps it’s a log cabin with sea views or maybe you want a shepherd’s hut away from everyday life. Norfolk offers this and much more! Choose from holiday parks on the beach to those camping sites in the middle of The Broads – either way, you’ll have plenty to see and do, and many of the activities and walking trails are dog-friendly. In Norfolk, everyone’s invited.

Scotland

Best for: Living like a king

Castles, manors, luxury holiday cottages – it’s no surprise that the Royals call Scotland home, and now you can. Well, for your next staycation anyway! Romantic breaks, family trips and even big group celebrations, Scotland has a hot tub holiday for all. And when you’re not enjoying one of the quirky places to stay, there’s coastline, national parks, countryside, towns and cities to explore in abundance.

The Cotswolds

Best for: Picture-perfect scenes

You only have to look at a picture of the Cotswolds to understand why it’s inspired so many authors, poets and artists over the years. Here, chocolate box houses line the streets of market towns. Larger manors are nestled amongst the countryside. And luxury extras like a swimming pool, games room and private bar area are all too common. Plus, when you’re out and about, whether you’re into shopping, food, sports or prefer to take it slow, you won’t be disappointed.

Wales

Best for: A variety of options

Wales offers something for everyone. In terms of activities, there’s shopping and entertainment in the cities, water sports and adventures along the coast, and exploration in the countryside and Snowdonia National Park. The accommodation is just as varied too with glamping sites offering safari tents, quaint cottages close to the golden sands, and treetop lodges – with views of the landscapes and extras like a fire pit and outdoor terrace.

Best walks nearby popular hot tub breaks

Sutton Hoo River View Walk

Location: Suffolk

Distance: 0.8 miles

Difficulty: Moderate

One of the best, and easiest, ways to really see everything that Suffolk has to offer is on foot. There’s plenty of shorter trails too – some that only take 30 minutes. The Sutton Hoo River View Walk follows the Sutton Hoo estate, along a trail towards Woodbridge. It’s a relatively new path but offers incredible views over the River Deben and peaceful adventures for the whole family. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for pushchairs though.

Brancaster Staithe Circular Walk

Location: Norfolk

Distance: 5 miles

Difficulty: Moderate

Norfolk is packed with beautiful walks and this one combines coast and woodland. We definitely recommend packing a picnic and finding somewhere to sit back for an hour! The highest point of the walk is Barrow Common, where you’ll get incredible views of the coast and Scolt Head Island. You won’t want to forget the camera either and the image of sailing boats is guaranteed to impress all ages.

Calton Hill

Location: Scotland

Distance: 1 mile

Difficulty: Moderate

If you’re looking for a walk that older family members and littler children can enjoy, this walk in Edinburgh is just the thing. Starting at Waverley Train Station, it follows paved roads and surfaced paths as you explore some of Edinburgh’s best monuments and buildings. While there are some steps involved, the final view over the city really is worth it. And you’re never too far from one of the award-winning pubs and restaurants for a little pick me up afterwards.

Cotswolds Way Circular Walk

Location: The Cotswolds

Distance: 4.5 miles (or 3 miles for the shorter version)

Difficulty: Easy-moderate

Our favourite thing about this walk is that it gives you the opportunity to complete the full route, or enjoy the shorter one. While the main path is described as moderate, with some steep areas, the shorter one avoids the climbs and is described as easy. You’ll explore the market town of Chipping Campden, venture through woodland and take in those incredible views that the Cotswolds is known for. Even better, you’re guaranteed to pass a few tearooms for a spot of lunch on the way.

Marloes Peninsula

Location: Wales

Distance: 7.6 miles

Difficulty: Moderate

This circular walk is a great way to get the whole family out and about, and a spot of wildlife bingo is sure to keep the kids on board. Following the Wales Coast Path for most of the way, simply head along the Marloes Sands, past beach rocks and up to Wooltack Point. Continue along the Marloes Peninsula and look out over Musselwick Sands. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the resident seals, puffins and birds of prey!
